Fort Worth Carrier AC Repair - Clogged Drain and Thermostat Fix

When an AC stops working in a Fort Worth home, most people assume the worst - a failed compressor, a refrigerant leak, something expensive. But a lot of the time, the actual problem is much more straightforward than that.

We got called out to a Fort Worth home where the Carrier system had stopped doing its job. The homeowner was stuck in the heat wondering what was wrong. After running through our diagnostics, we found two things: a clogged condensate drain and a thermostat that had lost power. Neither one is a catastrophic failure, but together they were enough to shut the whole system down.

Clearing a condensate drain is one of those repairs that sounds minor but matters a lot. When that line gets blocked, water backs up and the system triggers a safety shutoff to prevent water damage. No cooling, no airflow - just a hot house. We cleared the line and got power restored to the thermostat, and the system came right back to life. The ecobee thermostat you see here was calibrating temperature and ready to go.

This kind of call is a good reminder that AC problems don't always mean you're looking at a major repair bill. A proper diagnosis is everything. We also factor in indoor air quality as part of our assessments - because a system that's been sitting with a blocked drain or restricted airflow can affect more than just comfort. It can affect what you're breathing.

If your AC is acting up and you're not sure what's going on, don't wait it out - especially heading into the hottest stretch of summer. We're helping Fort Worth homeowners get their systems sorted out every day.
